Services

Pet Sitting

As an alternative to boarding, our pet sitting service is less stressful for pets and more economical and convenient for their humans. While your pets enjoy the comfort of their own home, we will prepare meals and provide fresh water, frolics, and lots of loving attention. We maintain your pets’ routines, carefully observe their health, and ensure that all is normal and safe in their home. Upon completion of each visit, we will send daily updates to make your time away carefree.

Cat Sitting

We understand the needs of cats. It goes beyond keeping food bowls full and litter boxes clean. Unsupervised, cats will entertain themselves and sometimes end up in places they should not be. We recommend daily visits for your kitties to make sure they are safe, happy, and healthy. All cat sitting visits include:

Three photos of cats: two black and white cats sleeping in a bed; a standing orange cat playing with a pink toy; and a black and white cat with an angry face.

Q&A

Questions and Answers

How does pet sitting work?

We make visits to your home to care for your pets. You choose the number of visits needed per day. We also provide home services listed above at no extra charge.

Who will be visiting my pets?

I am the owner and primary pet sitter for Paw Paws. My husband, George, is my partner. If for some reason we are unable to make a scheduled visit, I will arrange a qualified back-up pet sitter to complete the service.

How do I get started with Paw Paws Pet Sitting services?

Simply schedule a complimentary Meet & Greet appointment. I will come to your home to meet you and your pets, answer any questions you may have, get the feeding and care instructions, and fill out the Client Contact Information form. At that time, I will also request a copy of your house key or entry code.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. Paw Paws Pet Sitting is fully insured and bonded by Business Insurers of the Carolinas, as recommended by Pet Sitters International.

Do you provide references?

Yes. I will be happy to provide references.

Can I drop off my pet at your home?

Unfortunately, no. We will visit your pets at their home.

What happens if my pet becomes ill while I am gone?

In an emergency, we will transport your pet to your indicated veterinarian and notify you immediately. We will also contact you if we notice any changes in your pet's behavior.

Can you give medications?

Yes. We have experience giving basic medications. We would prefer to discuss your specifics on a case-by-case basis.

How do you manage house keys?

I prefer to keep a copy of your house key at a secure location, showing none of your contact information such as owners’ names and addresses. We label your keys with just your pets’ names for added security. This makes it safe and convenient to complete future services.
